Lotte had a chance to score from the bottom of the first inning. After leadoff hitter Jang Doo-sung hit a ground ball in front of the first baseman, Jung Hoon struck out swinging. Lotte's Na Seung-yup drew a walk after a full count match, and Reyes' hit to the right made it a chance for runners on first and third with two outs. However, Yoo Kang-nam ended the inning without scoring a run when he hit a fly ball to right field.

In the top of the second inning, Doosan's leadoff hitter Kim Jae-hwan struck out swinging, and Yang Seok-hwan succeeded in getting on base for the first time on the day with a heavy hit. However, after the follow-up hitter Kang Seung-ho ended up hitting a fly ball to right field, Yang Seok-hwan failed to advance to second base between wild pitches, ending the inning.

Lotte got on base with Kim Min-sung's heavy hit after one out in the bottom of the second inning. However, after Lee Ho-joon struck out swinging, Jeon Min-jae only hit a catcher's foul fly.

Doosan got its first run-scoring opportunity in the top of the third inning with Lee Yoo-chan's left-handed hit and Jung Soo-bin's walk, while Park Joon-young and Park Kye-beom struck out. However, it failed to score the first run when its follow-up hitter Kim In-tae was struck out swinging.

In the bottom of the third inning, Lotte's leadoff hitter Jang Doo-sung struck out swinging, and Jung Hoon got on base with a heavy hit. Again, Na Seung-yeop hit a fly ball to left field and a grounder to shortstop on Reyes, and no score came out.

In the top of the fourth inning, Yang Seok-hwan got back on base with a left-handed hit, with Yang Eui-ji and Kim Jae-hwan only hitting a mistake. However, Kang Seung-ho failed to score again when he hit a catcher's foul fly ball.

Amid the frustrating mood, Lotte took the lead first. As a leadoff hitter in the bottom of the fourth inning, Yoo hit a 130-meter solo home run to the left by hitting through the fastball of the opponent team's starting pitcher Choi Won-joon at 141 km/h on the second pitch. Yoo's most powerful homerun in the season. Yoo's home run flew 164.8 km/h with a shooting angle of 29.1 degrees.

Yoon Dong-hee then continued with left-handed hits and second-base steals, but subsequent hitters failed to score additional points as they struck out and missed. Lotte achieved a total of 4,500 steals (the fifth of all time) by Yoon Dong-hee's stolen base in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Doosan got on base with leadoff hitter Park Joon-young's bunt hit in the top of the fifth inning. Park Gye-beom's sacrifice bunt then gave him a chance to score with one out and second base. However, Lee Yoo-chan and Jung Soo-bin both struck out swinging, throwing away a chance to tie the game.

Lotte scored a run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jung Hoon's left double to the left field and Na Seung-yeop's base hit a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the fifth inning gave the team a chance for two outs and a third base. Reyes hit a timely RBI single to the left, leading the team to additional runs. With two outs and a bases-loaded walk made by Yoo Kang-nam and Yoon Dong-hee, Kim Min-sung hit a timely two-run single to the right by targeting the changed pitcher Park Jeong-soo. Doosan starter Choi Won-joon had seven hits (one homer) with five strikeouts and four runs with three outs in 4.2 innings.

Lotte, which blocked the defense with three outs in the top of the sixth inning, had an opportunity to run away with an infield hit in front of the third baseman by leadoff hitter Jeon Min-jae and a sacrifice bunt by Jang Doo-sung in the bottom of the sixth inning. Jung Hoon's timely hit to the left led to an additional score, and in the second base opportunity with two outs, he ran to 6-0 due to an error in the opponent's shortstop port that came out when Reyes grounded out.

Lotte's starting pitcher Park Se-woong took the mound in the top of the seventh inning and struck out Yang Seok-hwan and Kang Seung-ho, before Park Joon-young hit a fly ball to the right field to complete a quality start plus kick. Park met the requirement for his second win in this season by allowing no runs on nine strikeouts and nine walks on 95 pitches in seven innings.

The Lotte bench lowered Park Se-woong in the top of the eighth inning and put Park Jin on the mound. Park Jin-young caught Park Gye-beom with a fly ball to the first base and Lee Yoo-chan with a foul fly ball to the third base, and induced Jeong Su-bin to ground out to the first base to complete the inning with three outs. Lotte hit a double to the left-center off pitcher Lee Byung-hun, whose team changed hands after two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning. However, the follow-up hitter Na Seung-yeop stayed on the fly ball to the right field, and no additional runs were scored.

The Lotte Giants put Chung on the mound in the top of the ninth inning. Chung faced pinch hitter Kim Min-hyuk first, leading the strikeout with a swing and miss. After receiving a heavy hit from Yang Eui-ji, Chung struck out Kim Jae-hwan with a swing and miss, and increased the out count. Chung faced a crisis of losing a point with two outs and runners on the first and second bases after getting a hit from pinch hitter Kim Ki-yeon to the left. In the end, Chung allowed Kang Seung-ho to give up a run after an RBI double.

Lotte Bench put Jung Chul-won on the mound with two outs and runners on the second and third bases.
